Be Women

Not only women composers, but also all other women do not have easy lives. In India, in Africa, even in my home country, misogynistic ideas are still stuck in the minds of men. Irene Suchy, music journalist, women’s researcher and Japan expert, starts the series “23 Women Composers in Three Centuries” at Ö1. In a short interview, I comment on socially relevant issues in composition (including comfort women).
