Neukölln in Japan
A song cycle “Neuköllner Haiku” is a satire and was created based on poems from the Neukölln Haiku competition, together with other artists from the Grauwacke studios. The people of Berlin-Neukölln sent us their own haiku poems. I set 7 pieces to music from them: 1. maybe! 2. picnic time at last! 3. mail! 4. the mice! 5. today nations mix! 6 It’s not over! 7th Berlin Bear!
Now 3 of them play in Japan. Eiko Morikawa, who actively shaped the new music scene in Berlin for a long time, sings in Nagoya.
