Premiere string quartet No. 4 in Vienna

To kick off the season, an exciting concert is taking place in Vienna, featuring two string quartets: No. 3 “Nachtstaub” and No. 4 “Music of Silence.” Both pieces will be heard in Vienna for the first time. No. 4 “Music of Silence” was originally intended as an interlude in the play “John Rabe,” but it will finally be premiered as a standalone piece. I began writing No. 3 “Nachtstaub” at the Thomas Bernhard House in Ottnang. Perhaps it has the sound of Upper Austria? In contrast, No. 4 is a conglomerate of the various characters surrounding John Rabe.

I am very pleased that the Swiss string quartet “Kubus Kollektiv” will be performing the premiere.
